A path through the trees - first idea-sketch

This is the first sketch I made for my theme - a path through the trees - for The Sketchbook Project 2012. To me it was all about how to find the way/get through what ever situations you face. Not to be afraid of what or who you meet - to get there and back home again. Basic human feelings. I wanted to combine naturalistic drawing with sort of graphic, comic-like drawing and some fairy-tale, dreamlike chaos. I didn't go for a certain style - just keeping it all black and white.

Some new sketches

Just black and white fantasy - bit of colour. Could be anything. Shapes making patterns - patterns making shapes. To me there are trees and rocks in them. What do YOU see?

Sketches from Italy

These 3 sketches from Italy are some years old, but I still find interesting subjects for sketching in this fabulous country.

Why not start your journey from my place on the site: http://www.arthousecoop.com/users/Arkitektur57/   - take a look at my finished sketchbook, and go further on from there. Thousands of talented people have uploaded wonderful artwork at the Art House Co-op. It is worth a try!

Vases and rectangels

This is 3 small collages made of used gift-wrap. I collect used and interestingly dekorated/ patterned gift-wrap, that I make small collages out of or use for folding i.e. icosahedra, tetrahedre and small boxes.

The Sketchbook Project 2012 - still 7 pages to fill out before 31.January

Busy days working on my sketchbook for the 2012 Tour with The Sketchbook Project. My chosen theme is "A path through the trees" and I am trying not to get lost. My sketchbook will be in black, white and grey-ish drawings - lot of different kinds of hatch - with black ballpoint pen, black filtpen and pencil.
I will post it here, when it is finished - before I send it to Brooklyn Art Library for the Tour.

As an antidote to all this monochrome stuff here are two pantings, I have put together and worked on a bit on my computer. I call it "Grey Mask"
